On Dec. 31, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real bid farewell to 2020 with a cover of Bob Dylan’s Blood On The Tracks classic “Meet Me in the Morning.”
Dylan’s lyrics still rang true after such a tough year, with Nelson singing, “They say the darkest hour is right before the dawn.”
The video also arrives as one of the band’s “Soundcheck Songs,” a video series highlighting material POTR usually reserve for private band sessions.
“When we’re on the road we use soundchecks to practice cover songs from artists that we’d like to play in live shows,” Nelson explained in November.
