George Porter Jr. has announced the “12th Night Livestream,” a free virtual event that will take place on Wednesday, January 6th at 8:30 PM ET. The virtual event, which celebrates the start of carnival season, will be broadcasting from the Maple Leaf Bar in New Orleans, La. Porter will be performing with a trio consisting of himself, Michael Lemmier, and Terrance Houston.
Porter and his band Runnin’ Pardners recently dropped their newest single “Crying For Hope” last month; the tune is the title track from their upcoming record, Crying For Hope, which is due out in February. The bass legend shared a free download and preview of the song during his virtual birthday show on Dec. 26th, which featured special guest Anders Osborne.

January 5, 2021 at 3:28 pm“Free Virtual Event”…Mr. Porter Jr. understands the pain his fans are enduring unlike Bob Weir charging $20-$25 NYE for the purpose of paying his upcoming heavy tax bill! Sellout Bob charging you for a video stream while making you think he is doing you a huge favor!! Even Trey’s shows from the Beacon were “if you can donate”.
