Singer-songwriter and “slacker rock” darling Mac DeMarco is getting in on the holiday cheer. The now-LA-based artist shared a cover of the Christmastime classic “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” originally written by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane.

The cover was released along with a video, depicting DeMarco lip-syncing the song in front of an inflated Santa Claus. It was shot by Dan Streit. DeMarco recorded the song on Dec. 19 at his Jizz Jazz studios. The cover is performed in DeMarco’s signature laid-back style, with synth and keyboard parts wiggling in and out of tune in the best way.

“I hope you have a nice holiday season,” wrote DeMarco in the video’s description.
