Just in time for Christmas, The Flaming Lips have shared an official video for their song “A Change at Christmas (Say It Isn’t So).” The track originally appeared on the Lips’ 2003 EP Ego Tripping at the Gates of Hell.
The video depicts frontman Wayne Coyne in Grinch garb, holding his son, in addition to homemade confetti, and a piano that evokes The Peanuts. Coyne himself directed the video and edited along with Seth McCarroll.
The Flaming Lips were set to play two unique shows on Dec. 10 and 11 in Oklahoma City, in which they would, along with the audience, appear inside plastic bubbles. However, out of an abundance of caution, the band opted to postpone the show due to COVID-19.
