The National Independent Talent Organization, a nonprofit fighting for pandemic relief from Congress for the music industry, has announced (and since expanded) their first fundraising initiative: they have partnered with the auction site Charitybuzz to curate a collection of guitars and other strings instruments from many noteworthy bands and artists.

Artists who provided instruments for the auction include Stephen Stills, Ani DiFranco, Blue Öyster Cult, Conor Oberst, Joan Baez, Mark Knopfler, Steve Martin, Pat Metheny, Graham Nash, John Petrucci, Bonnie Raitt, Nathaniel Rateliff, Steve Vai, The War on Drugs and many more.

“The auction, which launched December 3 and will now conclude Monday, December 14, is open to the public and will help raise crucial funds for NITO’s continued efforts to ensure that the small, independent live touring industry has a united voice both in Washington D.C. and in a rapidly changing economy,” read a press release.

“We’re honored to contribute a signed Fender guitar to the NITO live auction,” said The War on Drugs’ Adam Granduciel. “Our industry relies on so many small businesses to make even one show possible.”
