After a brush with COVID-19 forced them to call an audible, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong managed to pull off their belated Halloween “Flockbuster” run on Nov. 21 and 22, debuting over a dozen movie-themed covers.

The two-night outing took place as a livestream event, at the crowdless 8×10 in PPPP’s hometown of Baltimore.

Highlights from the run included the cinematic debut of mashups like “Eye Of The Moonwalk” (pooling together elements of “Eye of the Tiger” and their own “Moonwalk”) as well as “Indiana Wars” (mixing together the theme of Indiana Jones and Star Wars).

Night two also included a massive “Poseidon”> “Where Is My Mind?”> “Poseidon”> “Daddy Wasn’t There”> “Poseidon”> “Offshoot”> “Men In Black”> “Offshoot” segment, leaving nods to films like Fight Club, Austin Powers and Men in Black.

The band’s zombie costumes also brought the theme together, as they appeared as Blockbuster employees from beyond the grave.
