Connecticut funk band Deep Banana Blackout has announced plans for their annual Thanksgiving Eve show. Due to COVID-19, the band will perform a crowd-less livestreamed show from The Warehouse in Fairfield, Conn. The show is set for Nov. 25 at 8 p.m. ET.

“Carrying the torch of the great funk bands including Tower of Power, Sly and the Family Stone, and James Brown into the 21st century, the eight-piece ensemble, featuring one of the tightest horn sections in the business, has been one of the top purveyors of jazz-rock, soul fusion today,” read the event description on Facebook. “Not to mention, a powerful and legendary musical force on the East Coast underground funk, jazz, and jam scenes.”
