On Thanksgiving Eve, Nov. 25, FANS will air the inaugural Complete Last Waltz, which was originally performed on Nov. 24, 2012 at The Warfield Theater in San Francisco. The broadcast is free to watch.

The performance includes over 30 musicians, including Joe Russo, Marco Benevento, Cass McCombs, Nels Cline (Wilco), Binky Griptite (The Dap-Kings), Eric D. Johnson (Fruit Bats), Andy Cabic (Vetiver), Scott McMicken and Eric Slick (Dr. Dog), Ian Ball (Gomez) and many more. It was organized by Sam Cohen, who served as the musical director.

According to the show description on FANS, “Billed as ‘a song for song, word for word, re-presentation of the concert,’ The Complete Last Waltz is a fitting tribute to one of the most legendary music events of our time including all 41 songs from The Band’s historic 1976 rock and roll concert The Last Waltz.”

While the show was initially a one-off, it became something of a tradition. In 2013, the show moved to Port Chester, N.Y.’s Capitol Theatre and was performed there in 2014, 2016 and 2018 as well.

Tune in to The Complete Last Waltz here!
