On Dec. 30 and 31, Spafford will ring in the new year with a socially-distant outdoor performance in their home state of Arizona.

“2009-2010 NYE was the first ‘billed’ Spafford show. So this is our 11th birthday,” the band wrote in an official statement. “We haven’t ever missed playing on NYE and we damn sure aren’t missing this year. Despite the ups and downs of 2020 let’s end this year on a high note. We want to bring people music and joy in the safest way possible to celebrate the end of a crazy year and send prosperity to the years ahead.”

The gigs will take place in the Marquee Backyard at the Marquee Theatre, and tickets will be available starting Friday, Nov. 20 at 10 am MT via spafford.net.

“‘The Backyard’ at The Marquee Theatre is broken up into pods, and are sold as reserved pods and good for 6 patrons,” reads an official description. “Reserved pods on main floor follow social distancing guidelines with 6′ in between each pod.”

This marks Spafford’s second quarantine performance, after a successful drive-in gig in May.
