Today, Nov. 6, marks the 5 years to the day since the release of Khruangbin’s first record The Universe Smiles Upon You. To celebrate the anniversary, the trio is offering a very limited edition run of “Purple Rain” vinyl edition of the record.

The band announced that just 11 copies of the limited edition vinyl will be available, and all of them must be bid on in order to purchase. One copy of those 11 will be available to the public to bid on through Khruangbin’s new online store. The remaining 10 copies will be available to Khruangbin’s Khru Club via a silent auction.

Khruangbin’s announcement email to the Khru Club elaborated on the bidding process: “Starting today through the end of the weekend, you can place your bid. All you need to do is sign into the Khru, submit the form with your bid amount, and hold tight to find out if you’re one of the winners! Once all bids are in, we’ll email the 10 highest bidders a link to remit payment. Once payment has been confirmed, your exclusive ‘Purple Rain’ TUSUY vinyl will be shipped!”
