Jorma Kaukonen and John Hurlbut will release a special vinyl record for Record Store Day. Titled The River Flows, the new vinyl will drop on Nov. 27.
According to a press release, “John Hurlbut sings and plays rhythm guitar and Jorma plays lead guitar on this improvisational acoustic masterpiece. There are eight songs including new takes on some classics and some new heartfelt originals.”
“There is no better way to converse than to play music with a good friend! John and I have been talking for almost forty years and we welcome you to sit in on the conversation,” said Kaukonen via release.
The recordings were produced at Kaukonen’s Fur Peace Ranch in Ohio. The release comes with a twelve page booklet containing and interview with Kaukonen and Hurlbut with Twist & Shout Records owner Paul Epstein.

October 27, 2020 at 4:17 pmAppreciate learning about this new release. However, you have a link to “pre-order” but the link merely takes one to the official RSD site, which states that the LP is an RSD exclusive release. There is no opportunity at this link to actually pre-order the album.
