Many music fans have joked that Wayne Coyne’s onstage bubble with The Flaming Lips was predictive of the COVID-19 era, and the band took that theory one step further in their recent Tiny Desk (Home) Concert.

With each member safely enclosed in their personal orb, the psych-rock titans offered “Will You Return/When You Come Down” and “God And The Policeman” from their most recent American Head LP, as well as “Be Free, A Way” from 2013’s The Terror and “It’s Summertime” from Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots.

Additionally, on social media, Coyne has teased a live performance with audience members in their own socially distanced bubbles.
