Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt (500 Days of Summer, Inception) recently appeared as a special commentator of SiriusXM’s Phish Radio, describing his first time seeing the band on 7/30/97 in Ventura County, Calif.

“I have a distinct memory of singing along to [“Bouncing Around The Room”] with my buddies,” Gordon-Levitt recalls. “…And I have a distinct memory of singing that same song with my same friends 20 years later And to me, like, that is what life is all about.”

Then, the actor gets choked up, adding, “Honestly, what I haven’t talked about as much this whole time of what Phish really means to me, more than anything is my friends that I love. I’m getting emotional. It’s my friends that I love this band with.”

[Editors Note: With this in mind, can someone please edit this scene with some Phish tunes in the background?]
