The Grateful Dead have announced that Dick’s Picks Vol. 26, which features recordings from early in the band’s career, will be getting the vinyl treatment. The live release features the Dead’s Apr. 26, 1969 performance at the Electric Theater in Chicago, Ill., and their show the next night at Labor Temple in Minneapolis, Minn.

The reissue will include 4 LPs pressed on 180-gram vinyl, and it is limited to 1500 hand-numbered copies. The shows themselves were recorded a few months after the shows that made up Live/Dead. The reissue is set to drop on Sept. 25.

In addition to the announcement of the vinyl release, the dead have also announced a reissue of Road Trips Vol. 3 No. 1, which features their Dec. 28, 1979 performance in Oakland. The reissue will be released on a two-CD set, and it will feature a full-color booklet with words from long-time Dead scribe Steve Silberman and photos from the Oakland Auditorium Shows by Jay Blakesberg. It’s due out Aug. 21.
