For this week’s installment of ‘All The Years Live,’ Grateful Dead HQ is sending fans back to Summer Tour 1990 for a clip of their second set “Ship of Fools” in Orchard Park, NY.
“From Mars Hotel, ‘Ship Of Fools’ was played live more than 200 times, and was a consistent part of the repertoire since its debut in 1974,” explains GD legacy manager/archivist David Lemieux. “This was the second year in a row it was played at Rich Stadium, after the previous year’s performance on 7/4/89.”
Previously, Lemieux and company also released versions of “High Time” and “Loose Lucy” from this same 1990 Orchard Park show.
