This past Friday, Dead & Company’s Oteil Burbridge appeared on the Shakedown Stream Pre-Show alongside David Lemieux and Gary Lambert, introducing a broadcast of the band’s July 1, 2017 show at Wrigley Field in Chicago.

Additionally, Burbridge addressed the ongoing protest movement surrounding police brutality as well as mass unemployment in America.

“Deadheads are uniquely adapted and prepared for this new normal that everybody else is totally not prepared for. Because they opted out of society a long time ago and depended on each other,” Bubridge explains.

The stream also benefited the ACLU “in their effort to demand racial justice and defend the right to protest.”
