Trey Anastasio has shared another new song from quarantine, titled “Evolve.” The song was once again written by Anastasio, Tom Marshall and Scott Herman.

The video for this song features Anastasio placing hand-written lyrics in front of the camera as they occur in the song, simulating a “lyric video.” “Coffee, markers and Scissors, a great morning combo!” the guitarist wrote in the Facebook post sharing the song.

“Please be safe everyone, and despite repeating myself, I again send my deepest love to every family dealing with loss this morning,” he continued. “I’m hoping that some fun and hopeful music strikes the right chord.⁣”

Anastasio recently released another song, “Till We Meet Again;” he also participated in a new Rolling Stone interview in which he discussed Phish’s upcoming plans amid the coronavirus.
