In a new interview with the Toronto Sun, Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien dives into the details of his new solo material as well as his admiration for jam stalwarts Phish.
“Doing extended jams is certainly something we’ve been doing [on my solo tour],” the guitarist says. “The idea is we take these songs and stretch them out. I’ve been really inspired by Phish and there’s a great podcast called Long May They Run, and it’s all about Phish and their story and their philosophy and their credo. They’re such an adventurous band. I’ve been really influenced by them. So the show is really where dance and rave meets Phish. That’s the place I want to be.”

April 19, 2020 at 10:18 pmThat would be f&*king awesome! I love both Radiohead and Phish. When bands you love collide it is kind of like those crossover Hanna Barbera cartoons.
