Despite practicing social distancing at his California home, the Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir still managed to perform the National Anthem on Sunday afternoon for NASCAR, appearing via livestream.
“It’s our honor to welcome back to NASCAR, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and founding member of the Grateful Dead… Here’s Bob Weir with the National Anthem,” said the announcer at the iRacing Pro Invitational Series race in Texas.

April 4, 2020 at 7:37 amIn case some of y’all don’t know, Bob Weir’s sister-in-law Leilani Münter is a race car driver. She has raced in ARCA affiliated with NASCAR & in Indy Pro Series, a development league for IndyCar. She set a female driver record in qualifying at Texas Motor Speedway in 2004. Bobby was in attendance when she raced at Daytona.
