Since the coronavirus outbreak, many individuals working in the live music world have found themselves in financial distress, as venues have been forced to shutter their doors.
One such venue is New York’s Brooklyn Bowl.
Pillars of New York City’s jam scene for over a decade, the venue and its staff have banded together to create an Indiegogo campaign to collect donations for bartenders, security personnel, servers and others who previously relied on the venue’s operation to make ends meet.
“We are a team, we are friends, and we are family. Covid-19 has left our community without live music, and without that we are left without the tips we depend on,” the description reads.

March 19, 2020 at 2:51 pmtotally agree. stop asking the fans for help. we do help when we see something we want to see. get your employer to help with this…
I also agree that there has been a loss of focus, a faltering in hearing what fans want. Just look at the LOCKN’ lineup. yes, some fans are happy, but it’s just a niche now, no variety. If at 45 years old, I feel young compared to my “peers”…that’s sad

March 19, 2020 at 1:05 pmAbsolutely, dig into that Fare Thee Well money and sell that winter Florida home if you feel that bad. The endless begging has got to stop in the jam band scene. My admission and drinks to stand in the waaaaay back for JRAD weren’t free and only “special” VIPS were allowed on the largely unused elevated platform that runs the length of the floor. Really now?
