On Mar. 5, Nublu in New York City will play host to a benefit to support Aaron Johnston’s kidney transplant. Suggested donations of forty dollars for the show will go toward Johnston’s GoFundMe page to finance the transplant.

“I recently learned I have Fabrys Disease which is attacking my kidneys,” wrote Johnston on the GoFundMe page. “This is a genetic condition that I’m very fortunate to have discovered early. Though Fabrys Disease can be arrested I will require a kidney a transplant immediately!”

He continued: “I need a donor to step forward so that this can happen, and I need funding because I’m a musician with very limited health benefits, plus help donors with any costs.”

The benefit will be MC’d by Malik Work, and will feature artists such as Joe Russo, Clark Gayton, Maura Refosco and Nublu founder Ilhan Ersahin. The event will also see a performance by comedian Brett Siddell. The event also will feature some surprise guests.
