On Feb. 13, Leftover Salmon’s Vince Herman (guitar) and Drew Emmitt (mandolin) brought their duo show to New York City’s City Vineyard.

For a portion of second half of their show, the duo invited guitarist Scott Sharrard and Salmon drummer Alwyn Robinson for a series of songs. They also brought Nate Pariente to the stage to provide vocals and guitar on one song.

Herman and Emmitt began the show with “Gold Hill Line” followed by “Liza.” After a mid-set “Midnight Run,” the duo brought Robinson and Sharrard to the stage for a series of songs beginning with “Big Boss Man.” The quartet later played “Blues in a Bottle,” and Sharrard’ and Robinson’s sit-in concluded with “Don’t Owe You A Thing.”

Herman and Emmitt then brought out Nate Pariente, who sang a rendition of Son Volt’s “Tear Stained Eye.” The duo then closed the show with “Work in Tall Buildings” and “Bend in the River.”

Leftover Salmon recently announced their Boogie At The Broadmoor event, with guests Jerry Douglas and Friends, Circles Around The Sun and more. For more information on that, visit boogieatthebroadmoor.com. In addition, Herman and Emmitt visited the Relix office for a live session before their gig at City Vineyard. In related news, Scott Sharrard will be appearing at New York City’s Rockwood Stage 2 on Feb. 27, which is part of the venue’s 15-year anniversary celebration. Tickets to that show are available here.
