After two shows at the Beacon Theatre on Friday and Saturday, Umphrey’s McGee played a sold-out gig at New York City’s Brooklyn Bowl on Sunday, Jan. 19. The band teased Rush’s “YYZ” and played their new single, “Suxity,” as a part of the encore.

The first set began with “Looks” followed by “The Fussy Dutchman,” which began with teases of Rush’s “YYZ.” The band had previously played Rush covers at their Beacon Theatre shows in honor of the late Neil Peart (“Anthem” on Jan. 18, “Limelight” on Jan. 19). The set was highlighted with a stunning final sequence that saw the band segue from “Miss Tinkle’s Overture” into “Tribulations,” then back into “Miss Tinkle’s.”

Set two began with another sandwich sequence, this time consisting of “Front Porch” and “Resolution.” After returning to “Front Porch,” the band dropped into “40’s Theme” followed by a trio of “Miami Virtue” > “Out Of Order” > Gulf Stream.” “The Floor” closed the transition-filled set.

For the encore, Umphrey’s began with “Phil’s Farm” before transitioning to “Suxity.” The band returned to “Phil’s Farm” to close out the show.

Umphrey’s Hindsight 20/20 Tour continues on Thursday, Jan. 23. Check out a full setlist from their Brooklyn Bowl show below via our Box Scores section.
