At Tool’s Jan. 10 show in San Diego, the band paid tribute to Neil Peart, the legendary Rush drummer who sadly lost his battle with brain cancer last week.

In honor of Peart, the band played a cover of Rush’s “A Passage to Bangkok” from the 1976 album 2112. Tool also had the song “2112” itself play over the PA upon the show’s conclusion.

Additionally, the encore began with a drum solo from Danny Carey. During the solo, an image of Carey and Peart was projected on a screen behind the band. Watch a fan-shot video of the solo below!
