The Grateful Dead have released another video in their “All The Years Live” series, this time a version of “Let It Grow” from their July 8, 1990 concert in Pittsburgh, Pa.
“From the very fine Summer Tour of 1990, this ‘Let It Grow’ ends what is an overall very solid first set, before the Dead would return for an epic second set in Pittsburgh,” notes Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux. “This is from Brent Mydland’s final tour, continuing the excellent playing from the Spring Tour of 1990.”

January 11, 2020 at 12:18 pmI always sat on right side by Brent at the Ventura showgrounds and Irvine shows. Loved his barefoot style.
Great vocals. Was do sad after he passed. Good to see his picture again.
Brings back smiles and flashbacks. The kind I miss.

January 11, 2020 at 10:06 amStill leaves Dead and Co in the dust on their best night. This is after all, Jerry Garcia’s band. No hopping, no jumping, just dug in.

January 11, 2020 at 9:51 amGrateful Dead body language not clear this show. Their all business. At least that’s the way I see it. Sometimes work is just work.

January 10, 2020 at 3:32 pmBottom line is this- Brent was one of the most amazing keyboard players EVER not to mention his utterly amazing Voice! From his first show on in summer 1979 he showed the boys “How to ROCK!” and how to be Soulful! Great memories, saw Brent from 1985 on with the GD at least 50+ times, unreal live!!

January 10, 2020 at 2:08 pmSerious question. This looks like the exact same footage from VFTV1. What’s so special about these video releases? I realize there are songs from unreleased video dates, but more often than not these videos have already been released.

January 10, 2020 at 12:08 pmFinal tour? Christ, it was basically his final hours… what a sad loss, followed shortly by another devastating hit to music when SRV was killed weeks later. Thankful I was able to listen to both do what they did best! RIP Brent & Stevie Ray…
