On the heels of their New York City NYE run, The Disco Biscuits rolled into Chicago for a three-night run at the Riviera Theatre from Jan. 2-4.
The first show of the run began with the Biscuits’ take on Frank Zappa’s “Pygmy Twylyght,” followed by “Rock Candy.” The Biscuits then performed the relatively new “Electric Slinky,” which was debuted on Nov. 15, 2019 at the Roxian Theatre in Pennsylvania. The band closed the set with two Biscuits classics, “Magellan” and “Morph Dusseldorf.”
The second set was only three distinct songs, excluding the “Tractorbeam Jam.” It began with “Nughuffer,” which marked the first performance of the song since December 2018 in Frisco, Colo. Next, “Crickets” led into the aforementioned “Tractorbeam” section, and “Clocks” concluded the set. The Biscuits opted for “Home Again” as the encore.
