After Dec. 30’s Phish concert, New York City’s Le Poisson Rouge hosted a late-night show that featured Garcia Peoples, Chris Forsyth & Ryan Jewell, Ryley Walker and more. The three-set show featured many extended jams and went deep into the early morning of Dec. 31.

The night began with a set by short set by Garcia Peoples. Next, Garcia Peoples served as the backing band for Chris Forsyth and Ryan Jewell.

Next, Ryley Walker took the stage with a backing band made of Jewell, bassist Brad Truax (who is the touring bassist for Interpol and also plays in Wooden Want and Soldiers of Fortune) and Dan Iead on pedal steel guitar. When the set concluded, ending with a long jam, Walker triumphantly said, “Fuck indie rock!”

Finally, nearly all the musicians (Garcia Peoples, Iead, Walker, Forsyth and Jewell) returned to the stage for a final jam, which was based on Forsyth’s song “Techno Top.”
