Despite an ongoing battle with hearing loss, Huey Lewis will lead The News once again for a new album dubbed Weather (out Feb. 14).

This will mark the hit-making band’s first studio LP since 2001, and according to a press release, the recording sessions were cut short when the singer was diagnosed with Ménière’s disease.

That being said, the band is confident that on Weather Lewis maintains “a rasp as uninhibited, witty, and confident as ever.”

Added Lewis himself, “You’ve got to look on the bright side and stay creative. Even if I never sing again, things could always be worse. After all, I’m deaf, not dead.”
