On Friday, Dec. 20, Louisville native Jim James will make an appearance at the Sunrise Benefit Concert to raise funds for the Young Authors Greenhouse.
“We will be having a songwriting workshop for the students leading up to this concert where the students will then perform their new original songs at this fundraising event that is so amazing,” James wrote via Instagram. “Last year’s concert was unbelievable- the students worked so hard and created some truly amazing songs. We recorded last year’s concert and will have it available for sale ON VINYL at this year’s concert!!!! We plan to do that each year-so cool!!! Put it on your calendar. Hope to see you there!”
Additional performers for the Sunrise Benefit include James Lindsey, 1200, Kiana Benhoff, Tyrone Cotton, Amber Thieneman, Carly Johnson and Dave Moisan.
Other dates on James’ calendar include a Seattle show on May 12 and a Denver gig on May 15 to support his recent collaboration with Teddy Abrams and the Louisville Symphony The Order of Nature.
