Alex Ebert (Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros) has announced his second solo record, entitled I vs I and due out Jan. 31. In addition, Ebert has released the first single “Stronger,” and an accompanying music video.
“This album tells the story of a cavalier attitude towards a partner, a break-up, the distress of the break-up, the anger and exploration, the contemplation of death, the coming back into the fold of the party, and the eventual finding of love again,” explains Ebert via press release. “It describes the past three years of my life. It’s almost a concept album in how linear the story is actually told.”
The album is Ebert’s second release as a solo artist; it follows his 2011 record Alexander.
