Dave Matthews, along with many other performers including David Bazan of Pedro the Lion, participated in the Seattle Musicians Access to Sustainable Healthcare (SMASH) Benefit concert on Sunday, Nov. 24.

Matthews performed three Neil Young covers during the show: “The Needle and the Damage Done,” which was performed solo acoustic; “Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black),” which saw the singer/guitarist joined by members of Soundgarden and Mother Love Bone; and “Like a Hurricane,” in which Matthews simply provided vocals while the rest of the show’s performers backed him.

SMASH is a Seattle-based organization focused on providing access to affordable healthcare, dental care and other medical services for musicians in the area. For more information, visit smashseattle.org.
