On Tuesday, Nov. 19, The Black Keys made a stop in LA for a rowdy weekday show at The Forum in Los Angeles, highlighed by an appearance by James Gang/Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh.

Walsh – a native of the Midwest and an adopted son of California – jumped onstage with his stratocaster midway through The Black Keys single set, jamming on “Water Street” and “She’s Long Gone” off the band’s breakthrough, 2010 LP Brothers.

Walsh and Black Keys guitarist Dan Auerbach previously collaborated during the Black Keys hiatus in freeform sessions with their mutual guitar hero Glenn Schwartz at Auerbach’s Easy Eye studio, as well as live in Nashville and at Coachella in 2016.

After Walsh’s two-song sit in on Nov. 19, the band launched into perhaps their biggest hit – “Tighten Up” – before later closing the show with a three-part encore of “Lo/Hi,” “Go” and “Little Black Submarines.”
