This December, Scott Metzger will celebrate the new year by sitting in with Circles Around The Sun for three nights in Colorado.
Said the band in their official announcement, “We look forward to ringing in 2020 and celebrating new beginnings with everyone!”
Following the death of original guitarist Neal Casal, Circles Around the Sun have toured with Eric Krasno, but this time Metzger will fill in as lead guitarist on Dec. 29 in Fort. Collins, Dec. 30 in Englewood, and New Year’s Eve in Crested Butte.
Metzger’s JRAD bandmate Joe Russo recently collaborated with the band on their Circles Around The Sun Meets Joe Russo EP; Metzger also performed at the There’s A Reward memorial concert for Casal this past September.
Tickets for Circles Around The Sun’s new year’s run are on sale now.
Circles Around the Sun: New Year’s Run

November 20, 2019 at 6:35 pmBrian that’s neat to know. And if Neal wanted such, i’m in full support. Guess I’m still feeling uneasy over Neal’s passing. That said, onward and upward for this beautiful music

November 20, 2019 at 6:00 pmBluesky i guess you’re not aware that in a note left behind by neal it was his wishes that the guys kept the band together and continue to spread and build on what they had created! He wanted them to carry on as “circles around the sun”!

November 20, 2019 at 5:19 pmGlad these guys are still playing… but they really should have changed the band name after Neal’s passing. I’m sure that would have killed booking offers, but is definitely the right thing to do especially given its an instrumental band
