On Nov. 16, Goose closed out a particularly memorable week – highlighted by a booking on PBS’ Bluegrass Underground – with a sold-out show in Buffalo, NY.

From the get-go, the band sunk into the jams, offering a four-song set one; A cover of “Atlas” by The Wood Brothers bled into their own “Arcadia” (complete with a “Let’s Go Buffalo!” chant), and stand-alone versions of “Indian River” and “Drive.”

Goose started set two with “Creatures,” and then embraced Buffalo’s college-town vibe by moving into “Shama Lama Ding Dong” – as made famous by Animal House. From there they made a pit-stop at “Slow Ready” before jamming “Hot Tea” into a rowdy version of A-ha’s “Take On Me.”

For the encore, Goose kept the fun coming with a version of Randy Newman’s “Short People” that segued into their first-ever “Hot Tea” reprise.
