On Sunday night, The String Cheese Incident wrapped up their three-night Chicago run at the Auditorium Theater. The show was highlighted by two first-set bustout covers: “Heart of Saturday Night” by Tom Waits and “Breathe” by Pink Floyd.

The show began with “Heart of Saturday Night,” which has not been covered by the band since Oct. 10, 2006. After the original “Turn This Around,” the band dropped into the second bustout cover, “Breathe,” not played by String Cheese since July 7, 2016. Following the cover, the band returned to “Turn This Around.” Later, the band delivered flowing sequence of “Looking Glass,” “Joyful Sound” and “Rumble.” The set closed with the 2018 Sound Lab single, “The Big Reveal.”

The band came out swinging in the second set, opening with a rowdy version of “Colorado Bluebird Sky,” followed by “Get Tight” and “All We Got.” Late in the set, the band treated fans to the paring of “Dirk” and “Glory Chords. They closed with “Beautiful,” a track from their 2017 studio album Believe. The encore was a cover of Peter Gabriel and Youssou N’Dour’s “Shakin’ The Tree.”
