Nashville artist Devon Gilfillian will release his debut album, entitled Black Hole Rainbow, on Jan. 10, 2020 through Capitol Records. “The theme of the record is pulling yourself out of a dark place and learning how to love yourself, and getting back up and learning from your mistakes,” Gilfillian said via press release.

Ahead of the album, Gilfillian released a new single, “Unchained,” on Nov. 7. “‘Unchained’ was originally inspired by the story of Brian Banks, an African-American professional football player wrongly accused of rape, but it’s evolved into so much more than just that,” explained Gilfillian via press release. “It’s a song about empowering yourself to become your greatest potential no matter what tries to stand in your way.”

The album is available for pre-order now, and all digital pre-orders will include downloads of “Unchained,” as well as singles “Even Though It Hurts” and “Get Out And Get It.”

In January, Gilfillian will join Grace Potter on tour, beginning on Jan. 8 at the Charleston Music Hall in Charleston, S.C. Tickets are available now. For more information, visit devongilfillian.com. Check out a full list of tour dates below.
