It seems like the music industry has reunion fever.

Following Rage Against the Machine and The Black Crowes, Bill Kreutzmann’s Billy & The Kids have announced they will join forces once more in April 2020.

“Billy & The Kids ride again!” read the official announcement via social media, along with the 4/2020 date.

The supergroup originally featured Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead/Ghost Light guitarist Tom Hamilton, Disco Biscuits keyboardist Aron Magner and Tea Leaf Green/Electric Beethoven bassist Reed Mathis. They first played together in 2015, debuting at Warren Haynes’ annual Xmas Jam in Asheville, NC; however, the group really began at Virginia’s LOCKN’ Festival in 2015, when Kreutzmann, Hamilton, Magner, bassist Oteil Burbridge and keyboardist Jeff Chimenti performed as the Locknstep Allstars for a set after Bob Weir & RatDog canceled their festival slot.

The reunion was teased earlier this year, when the band’s own pages recently posted a photo of Kreutzmann with the caption “Tap, tap, is this thing on?” along with the names of all four members. Kretuzmann’s own pages shared that post, adding, “Check 1-2, 1-2.”

This story is still developing.
