On Friday, Nov. 1, Tulane University hosted the third annual Tipping Point celebration at NOLA’s Fillmore, bringing together stars like Mavis Staples, Chris Robinson, George Porter Jr., Eric Krasno and more to “benefit Tulane’s mission to provide scholarships that attract and support the next generation of promising young leaders.”

Actor Jeff Garlin acted as the evening’s host, while Krasno served as musical director. The event’s house band consisted of NOLA locals like Porter, Cyril Neville, Ivan Neville, Tony Hall, Raymond Webber, and Mark Mullins and Levee Horns.

Said event organizer/ UpperWest Music Group co-founder Greg Williamson, “The Tipping Point, now in its 3rd year and bigger than ever before, is part of our overall mission to do good and bring people together through live music. In our opinion, there is no other form of media that is more powerful than a live concert!”
