For their Saturday night show at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl, TAUK spent their second set paying tribute to Jimi Hendrix.

The band’s first set showcased a batch of TAUK originals, opening with their Homunculus cut “Carpentino’s Rebirth” and closing with a nice pairing of “Malware” and “Friction.”

However, things really took off with the TAUKing Hendrix set as Snarky Puppy/Ghost-Note percussionist Nate Werth and Nth Power guitarist Nick Cassarino joined the TAUK quartet for a slew of rock classics.

Highlights included an opening “Foxy Lady” as well as a “Voodoo Child” with TAUK drummer Isaac Teel laying down lead vocals.

A rocking “Little Wing” also saw Cassarino and TAUK guitarist Matt Jalbert trading licks back and forth.

The show closed with a trio of Hendrix’s “Fire,” TAUK’s “In The Basement of the Alamo” and Hendrix’s “Power of Soul,” with the crowd at the Brooklyn Bowl cheering for more.
