After releasing audio of the final concert from The White Stripes as part of their partnership with, Third Man Records has just launched a new podcast dedicated to the history of the iconic Detroit blues-rock duo, Striped.

The podcast is hosted by music journalist Sean Cannon and, according to an announcement from Third Man, its first season will dive into the early years of The White Stripes “by talking to the people who witnessed it all firsthand — from a young Jack White practicing loudly in his attic to The White Stripes wowing their tourmates Pavement in late 1999.” The season will include audio of interviews with members of The MC5, Pavement, White’s band The Raconteurs, The Detroit Cobras, The Dirtbombs and The Soledad Brothers, plus filmmaker Lance Bangs and others.

The first two episodes of Striped are now available for streaming and download. Listen to the trailer below, and learn more about Stripes mastermind Jack White in this Relix cover story from 2018.
