Umphrey’s McGee wrapped up the latest leg of their 2019 schedule with a performance at Sprint Pavilion in Charlottesville, VA, on Friday evening, and the band marked the occasion with a nod to late singer Eddie Money, who passed away earlier this month.
The tribute came near the tail end of set two, when the band followed up their “Bad Friday” with their first rendition of Money’s hit “Two Tickets to Paradise” since April 28, 2017, marking just their fourth ever cover of the tune.
Check out the full setlist below as it appears in our Box Scores section, along with fan-shot video of the Eddie Money cover. Umphrey’s McGee get back on the road for their fall tour starting Oct. 17 with the first of three nights at the Georgia Theatre in Athens, GA.

September 23, 2019 at 1:35 pmIt’s cool that bands are covering Eddie Money, but it’s kind of a shame that we don’t appreciate old school artists until they’re gone. I’ve seen a lot of stories about how cool Eddie Money was to people over the last couple of weeks…..

September 24, 2019 at 10:26 amHey Danny, they played Two Tickets in 2017, and most of the bands on these sites play lots or covers and appreciate “old school” music everyday.
