The Outlaw Music Festival Tour stopped in Philadelphia on Friday evening for a packed show at the TD Pavilion at The Mann Performing Arts Center, offering performances from host Willie Nelson, Gov’t Mule, Bonnie Raitt, Alison Krauss and Cris Jacobs, and Raitt’s set featured a couple of special guest spots from her Outlaw tour mates.
Near the end of her set, the iconic singer-songwriter brought out Warren Haynes, who led Mule in their own performance of live staples during the musical revue. The guitarist joined Raitt and her band—which includes Dumpstaphunk keyboardist Ivan Neville—for a rendition of B.B. King’s “Never Make Your Move Too Soon” featuring guitar solos from both Haynes and Raitt.
Following the collaboration, Raitt welcomed Krauss and her violin to the stage, and the two Americana stars joined forces at the front of the stage for a duet on “Angel From Montgomery,” which Raitt dedicated to its songwriter, the inimitable John Prine.
To close out Nelson’s own headlining set, the legendary singer-songwriter brought out members of Mule, plus Raitt, Krauss Jacobs and other Outlaw performers for his traditional singalong finale of “Will the Circle Be Unbroken?” and “I’ll Fly Away.”
Check out a few of last night’s setlists below, along with fan-shot video of Raitt’s collaborations. The Outlaw Music Festival Tour continues this evening in Virginia Beach with music from Nelson, Raitt, The Avett Brothers, Krauss, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real and Last Bison.

September 16, 2019 at 5:52 pmTom, nice photos. Thanks for sharing. I was at show (first time at Mann) and had one of the greatest times. Didn’t get to see Cris Jacobs, but Mule, Raitt and Krauss had absolutely tight sets. Third time seeing Willie – this night’s set was best of the three.
(Any photos of Krauss?)
