Dave Matthews Band continued their summer schedule on Friday evening with their first of three shows at The Gorge Amphitheatre in George, WA, delivering a performance filled with longtime favorites and newer tunes, plus a revival of a song the group hadn’t touched in years.

Matthews and company kicked things off with classic opener “Seek Up,” followed by the title track to their most recent studio album, Come Tomorrow, and the staple “What Would You Say.” A few song later, after a run of live favorite “Crush,” DMB launched into the first “Drunken Soldier” since November 11, 2015, a span of 302 shows. The lilting, understated cut originally appeared on the band’s 2012 album, Away From the World.

Last night’s show also featured regulars like “Don’t Drink the Water,” “Dancing Nancies,” “The Last Stop,” “Tripping Billies” and set closer “Everyday,” plus an encore that wrapped up night one with “Two Step”> “Pantala Naga Pampa”> “Rapunzel.”

Lettuce opened the night. Current keyboardist and singer Nigel Hall was in Europe for the date so DeShawn Alexander subbed behind the boards.

Check out the full setlist below as it appears in our Box Scores section, along with fan-shot videos from the night. Dave Matthews Band return to The Gorge this evening for round two of three.
