Umphrey’s McGee continued their summer tour in Chattanooga, TN, on Thursday evening with a show at The Signal, and the group welcomed a special guest in the second set for a cover of an ’80s classic.

As JamBase reports, Karl Engelmann, a former bandmate of Umphrey’s guitarist Jake Cinninger in his pre-UM group Ali Baba’s Tahini, came onstage during the band’s cover of Simple Minds’ “Don’t You (Forget About Me),” near the middle of set two.
