Band of Changes, Chris Harford’s project known for its rotating personnel, will feature members of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead for a November 30 gig at the Hopewell Theater in Hopewell, NJ.

Joining Harford will be guitarist Scott Metzger, bassist Dave Dreiwitz and drummer Joe Russo, all longtime Harford collaborators who have played in Band of Changes many times over the years.

JRAD as a whole have also previously collaborated with Harford, including at this year’s Capitol Theatre finale, when the band invited Harford to close the show with two Neil Young covers, and at last year’s LOCKN’ festival, when Harford joined JRAD for a performance of Young’s “Hippie Dream.”

Harford describes Band of Changes as “a constantly evolving, consistently changing series of musical performances by a band that never plays the same songs in the same way twice.” Unsurprisingly, this spirit of evolution and improvisation inspires the members of JRAD: In a 2016 interview with Jambands.com, Russo said, “Chris Harford is one of the most amazing and influential musicians I’ve been lucky enough to have in my life. Chris is just one of those people whose energy and passion for what he’s doing is contagious. I have rarely had more fun on stage than when I’m playing with the Band Of Changes. It’s raw, pensive, playful, painful, spirited and violent all wrapped up in one thing.”
