Philadelphia-based radio station WXPN will celebrate the upcoming 50th anniversary of Woodstock by broadcasting the entirety of the legendary 1969 upstate New York festival next weekend.

WXPN will recreate the sonic schedule of the festival five decades later, starting Thursday, Aug. 15, at 5:07 p.m. ET. and running into Sunday, Aug. 18, along with some other music from that era in between segments of Woodstock.

“From the movie that came out in March of 1970, to the numerous collections of recordings released over the years, there has yet to be a full authentic musical account of the concert until now,” says Bruce Warren, Associate General Manager for Programming at WXPN. “WXPN is going to pay the most effective tribute to the music, the way it was originally performed, at exactly the same times the sets were performed to give our listeners a feel for how it all really went down.”
