The Allman Betts Band have postponed over 30 dates in August and September following Devon Allman’s appendectomy, which initially resulted in the group canceling a few European shows.

Allman, who leads the ABB along with fellow Allman Brothers Band descendent Duane Betts, shared a video on Saturday thanking fans for their support, and today the band announced the larger scale postponements.

“Devon Allman has been advised by doctors that he cannot perform during this time due to an upcoming surgery and the necessary recovery time,” a note from the band reads. “Devon is expected to make a complete recovery and will be back onstage in October.”

The postponed dates include dozens of headlining dates, including the ABB’s planned show at NYC’s famed Radio City Music Hall next week, plus festival slots like Virginia’s LOCKN’ and Colorado’s Telluride Blues & Brews.
