Soulive will return to Brooklyn Bowl this weekend for three more nights of Bowlive VIII, continuing last week’s residency from the jazz-funk trio, and the venue has announced that a few more friends have been added to Saturday’s final performance of the six-night run, in addition to the previously announced guest saxophonist, Sam Kininger.

Also joining Soulive on Saturday (now dubbed Bowlive Family Night) will be guitarists Tash Neal (formerly of The London Souls) and Danny Mayer (who plays in Soulive’s Eric Krasno’s solo band), plus Trey Anastasio Band saxophonist James Casey and, finally, trombonist Brian Thomas, who joined Soulive this past Thursday for night one of Bowlive VIII.

Bowlive continues this Thursday, July 18, with special guest Marcus King, and on Friday with legendary Meters bassist George Porter Jr. Tickets and more information can be found at Brooklyn Bowl’s website.
