This past weekend, The Avett Brothers took over Colorado’s famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre for three shows that included a full-album runthrough of their 2009 album, I And Love And You, and a couple guest spots from Nicole Atkins and the brothers’ father, Jim Avett.

Saturday evening on night two, the Avetts began the show with some classics like “Paranoia in B-Flat Major” and “Distraction #74,” then launched into all of I And Love And You, the band’s major-label debut, from the opening title track to the “Incomplete and Insecure” closer. Two songs later, the group brought out Atkins to help out on “Ain’t No Man” and a cover of Woody Guthrie’s “Gamblin’ Man.”

For night three, The Avett Brothers turned the show into a family affair, bringing out Seth and Scott’s father, Jim, for “Signs” near the end of their set. The group later closed the set with the emotional “If It’s the Beaches” followed by an encore of John Denver’s “Thank God I’m a Country Boy” and their own “No Hard Feelings.”

Check out a few photos from the run above and below. Next up for the Avetts is a show tomorrow night in St. Louis, MO, the first of two at the Fox. See their full schedule here.
