Dark Star Orchestra have announced their fall tour, making stops from Colorado to Pennsylvania from Sept. 6 to Oct. 12.
The tribute band is currently inching toward their 3,000th show (current count: 2,904), and continues to both recreate Grateful Dead setlists and craft their own with the GD songbook.
“We just have a natural musical conversation between us,” lead guitarist Jeff Mattson told Relix in 2018. “We listen to each other, and I’ve heard from people in the audience that they can feel it too; there’s this great back and forth, particularly in the jams.”
According to the band, “tickets for the Dark Star Orchestra Fall Tour are available for most shows via the DSO fan club, with public on-sale beginning this Friday, July 12.”

July 9, 2019 at 10:47 pmSaw them in Ohio last week. They blow away Dead & Lame by miles. I’m not wishing harm on anyone but… if John Mayer got nut cancer and died immediately them Kadlecik could join up with Bobby and Billy (Hart can go play brushes on his sofa as far as I’m concerned) and tour with DSO opening!

July 10, 2019 at 1:22 pmWhat a stupid question. The line from UJB is a poetic gesture and not intended to be applied to any life situation. Also, Zappa gorgeously addressed your mindset 50 years ago when he sang: “I will love the police as they kick the shit out of me on the street.” Fuck the Police, Fuck John Mayer. They are bad actors.
